A reusable eye mask that works wonders for aching, puffy eyes and more.

Packaging and First Impressions

The packaging that the THERAPEARL Mask came in was nicely decorated and I felt made the product feel more luxurious. On first seeing the mask, you'd know straight away that you can use it more than once without even looking at the notes on the packaging, purely because of the materials used. The really nice thing about the mask is that not only is it toxic free, it's also latex free, which is good news for latex allergy sufferers!

Using the THERAPEARL Mask cold

To use the THERAPEARL Mask cold, you first have to pop it in the freezer for 2 hours. The mask is good for reducing swelling, soothing tired eyes, and bringing out bruising. However, for some people, the mask may possibly be too cold, so I'd suggest to leave it 10 minutes or so out of the freezer before using. The mask also holds the cold temperature extremely well, and you can easily get the full 20 minute benefit of the mask, even when it's been left out of the freezer for a few minutes before using.

Using the THERAPEARL Mask hot

To use the THERAPEARL Mask hot, you need to pop it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds depending on power of microwave. Using the mask hot is good for aching eyes, tiredness and really helped my sinuses as I currently have yet another cold brewing! Once again the mask holds warmer temperatures well, and allows the user to get the full 20 minute benefit from the mask. In terms of which one I prefer using, it depends on what I'm using it for, but I definitely prefer using the warm mask therapy instead of the cold one!

Using the THERAPEARL Mask when travelling

As the mask needs to be cooled in the freezer or heated in the microwave before use, this isn't a good mask for on the move. However, for on holiday and weekends away, as long as there's access to a freezer or/and microwave, this is a great size for travelling with as it's so versatile and can be used for the relief of swelling, bruising, aches and tired eyes. The mask would make a great therapeutic aid for those adventure travellers, as well as those hitting the slopes at this time of year. I know all too well that being on the mountains can sometimes result in puffy looking eyes thanks to the googles, and this little mask is just the thing to rectify that at the end of a long day!

Overall, I love this mask and it's definitely something I will be using a lot. It's a shame that the mask can't be used on a plane or whilst on long journeys due to needing a microwave to warm it up, or a freezer to cool it down however, it's definitely useful for holiday so I'd still take it to use at the destination!
